Trade Training Facilities in WSR

Western Sydney Region has been the recipient of a significant investment in trade training facilities by the Commonwealthy Government. The TTC program has a 10 year time span and over the past 4 rounds of funding we have been fortunate enough to get excellent facilities in a number of our schools:
  • Penrith Valley Trade Training Centre; encompassing Cambridge Park HS, Kingswood HS, jamison HS, Glenmore Park HS, Nepean HS, Blaxland HS and Cranebrook HS. All schools recieved an upgrade to their Metals and Engineering facilities to enable students to compolete their Cert II in Metals and Engineering in an Industry standard facility. In addition a new facility was built at Kingswood HS to enable students from the Penrith Valley to extend their qualification in partnership with WSI TAFE to completCert III in Metals and Engineering on site.
  • Hawkesbury Trade Training Centre; encompassing all 4 High Schools in the Hawkesbury area. Richmond HS, Colo HS, Windsor HS and hawkesbury HS all recieved an upgrade to their Metals and Engineering facilities as well as Commercial grade kitchens for the delivery of Hospitality. Rich,ond hS also had a function facility built to enable the delivery of Commercial cookery qualifications in industry standars facilities. Windsor HS has had an extension to their Metals facilities to anable partnership with WSI TAFE to completCert III in Metals and Engineering n site.
  • Evanside TTC is a joint venture between Evans HS, Doonside HS and Coreen SSP. All 3 schools recieved a commercial kitchen to support the delivery of Coommercial cookery stream of Hospitality. Evans HS also recieved an upgrade to the Metals and Engineering facilities. Doonside recieved a new Metals and Engineering building with a large covered enclosed workspace that is industry standard.
  • Blue Mountains TTC is a joint venture between Springwood hS and Winmalee HS in Hospitality. Springwood HS has had a ferit of one kitchen to commercial standards with a small outdoor covered area for service, while Winmalee has had a dinind facility built off the back of the existing commercial kitchen to provide service space for the delivery of both Food and Beverage as well as Commercial Cookery streams of Hospitality.
